By diffusing your hair, you can distribute airflow and heat to prevent frizz. This helps maintain the natural shape of your curls or waves.
It dries your hair, with reduced risk of heat damage compared to a conventional hairdryer.
- set the diffuser to the highest speed and lowest heat (but not cold, like luke-warm)
- hover diffuse your roots till dry or almost dry
- flip side to side, continue till your lengths are dry
- glazing and scrunching is optional
- use cold hair at the end
Battle of the diffusers
On my Instagram account, I reviewed three diffusers across these two insightful videos:
Dyson
Feels hot when using, seems really sturdy. I haven’t stress-tested it by dropping it though.
It includes several attachments and boasts three speed levels plus three heat levels.
Laifen
Low-cost option compared to the other diffusers I’ve tried. It has less attachments than Dyson, but the same amount of levels. Overall it feels cooler than the Dyson diffuser.
Still works even though I dropped it haha so there’s that.
Check out Laifen
Get Curly
Just like Laifen, it’s not too hot. It has the same levels as the others, but also has a dynamic option, that switches between the temperatures. This makes it the easiest to use out of the three.
Price-wise it costs a bit more than the Laifen.
