Natural Makeup Looks on Brown Skin: Learning to Love My Face💄
Where I come from, makeup was often about fixing what society didn’t see as ideal — using lighter foundation shades, contouring to make the nose appear smaller, trying to enlarge the eyes, or minimizing the lips. And honestly, if that’s the look you enjoy, that’s totally fine — go for it!
But for me, that kind of makeup made me disconnect from my own reflection. Instead of feeling empowered, I started to believe that my face needed to be corrected — which, of course, isn’t true at all.
That’s why today, I’m exploring natural makeup looks on brown skin that enhances my natural features instead of hiding them. I played around with the products I already have, and I’m honestly so happy with how it turned out (though next time I’ll definitely go lighter on the eyeliner and lashes 🤭):
