Thin hair can be harder to deal with, especially in between wash days. In this post, I’ll explain the difference between thin hair and fine hair (yes, they’re not the same thing!), share my favorite product buys that actually work for thin wavy/curly hair, and give you fun styling tips.
Difference between thin and fine hair
Thin hair basically refers to the amount of hair strands that you have on your head a.k.a. your hair density. Hair density can be measured from low, medium, to high.
Whereas “fine” hair refers to the diameter or thickness of your INDIVIDUAL hair strand a.k.a. your hair texture. Hair texture can be measured from fine, medium, to coarse.
‼️ So you can have FINE THICK hair, which basically means you have high density but your individual strand is fine. And you can have COARSE THIN hair, which basically means that you have low density but your individual strand is coarse.
How to increase your hair density?
I myself have fine-medium texture and low-medium density. To increase my density, I’m using the Rosemary Collection from @asiamnaturally to help me in my hair density journey! Here are the deets on the best curly hair products for thin hair:
💚 Rosemary Leave-in Conditioner
💚 Rosemary Edge Control
💚 Rosemary Oil
These products are very AFFORDABLE and contain so many great ingredients like melatonin, copper tripeptide and ceramide!!
A dermaroller and a massager can be handy when applying these, but it’s not a must:
